Prairie South Schools: Prior to students being registered to take an online class, this form should be completed with every student. This is for all online courses with Prairie South or with other school divisions.
You will need a Cooperative Teacher to supervise your exams. This is an adult typically associalted with your school - a teacher, Librarian, EA who can supervise your exam and scan in the exam and email it to your teacher. Students can also use the CamScanner app on their phone to take photos of the exam and email a PDF of the exam.
Parents and/or family members are not allowed to supervise exams.
It is essential that an adult supports the student by checking in regularly throughout the Zoom lesson and also assist students completing work outside of the Zoom lesson. An adult can be a parent, guardian, grandparent, babysitter ... a responsible adult to assist. If there are any issues the online teacher will contact the adult supporting the student.
The primary instruction and interaction takes place in Zoom. Attending the Zoom sessions is Mandatory.
Attendance will be taken at the start of each Zoom lesson - morning and afternoon. It is also Mandatory for students to have their computer web cams on. Students can blur the background or add in a background image for more privacy.
We suggest registering in a face-to-face school - learning online is not for the student who does not attend Zoom lessons. Attending our Zoom lessons is Mandatory. If you don't attend our Zoom lessons you will miss all the instruction.
We recommend a computer with webcam or laptop to use in an online class.
A phone alone will not work for the course. We recommend a laptop or computer workstation with webcam.
This is very important that the student complete the work to the best of their abilities and submit the work to their online teacher on time. The teacher can provide feedback to the student based on the submitted work.
